Theres always a basic insurance included. The price is based on the luggage cash value but can not exceed certain established values. More information about insurance coverage can be found in our Terms and Conditions. It depends on which airline you travel with. In many cases we can offer a better price. Especially if you travel with heavy or special luggage like skis, snowboard, golfbag or musical instruments.
When it comes to transmissions of personal belongings within and outside the EU, you do not usually pay duties or other charges. When sending to a country outside the European Union need, however, you fill in a customs declaration in which you state what your luggage contains and enter a value on content. However, there may be cases where there are local or national regulations that may involve fees and then you as the customer is responsible for paying them. If you are sending to a non-EU country, we recommend that you check the current country's customs rules, what you can and can not send and to which value and classification of objects by local customs authorities will let pass without charges.

When booking a shipment of baggage outside the EU, you need to fill out a customs declaration (Proforma Invoice). The customs declaration is generated through bagpal.se, and you (sender) needs only to answer some simple questions about the content and enter the value of the contents of your luggage. Bagpal then generates the necessary documentation for you to print and attach to your luggage.
It depends on when and where you are travelling and when you arrive at your destination. Normally if you travel within Europe, we need to make the pick-up 1-3 working days before your departure.
No, You don ́t need to wrap or package your luggage. You send your bag in the same condition as you would have done checking-in at the airlines. The same with sport equipment. You do need a casing with extra padding covering the fragile parts of your equipment, for instance, the binding of your skiis or snowboard. For golf bags, we recomend a proper flight case. We kindly request that you use solid suitcases, suitable for the handeling required for air and road travel. It ́s unavoidable the that some suitcases might be slightly marked, although our luggage management is far more gentle than the airlines.

We recommend having your bags delivered the day before you plan to arrive at your destination. This way, you’ll have peace of mind knowing that your bags have been delivered, even before you board your flight. Also, all deliveries are guaranteed by end of day, so if even if you plan to arrive in the morning, your bags will already be at your destination. During the winter months, shipments can be impacted by unforeseen severe weather events, which can cause delays that are not covered by Luggage Forward’s on-time guarantee. As a proactive measure, we recommend clients schedule the delivery of their bags 2 days prior to arrival.
You can be sure that your luggage is handled with more caution than when it is transported by airline baggage service. However, there is no guarantee for this but we will do everything possible to avoid any harm to your luggage.
The desired pick-up time can be specified but there is no guarantee that it will be so. Our drivers are working from "loops" when to pick up the luggage, making it difficult to determine a more precise time. Pick-up time is usually between 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, on weekdays.
Yes, you will receive a shipment (AWB) number from bagpal.se at the time of your booking and you can at any time log-in on your bagpal account and enter this number to see where your luggage is located.

Yes, any hazardous or dangerous commodities are prohibited from all Luggage Forward shipments. For shipments traveling between two countries, there may be additional items that are restricted by Customs on a country-specific basis. It depends on where you are going and when you are supposed to reach your destination. Normally, within Europe, we need to retrieve your luggage 1-3 working days before your estimated time of arrival.
It is important that you try to specify the weight of your luggage as precisely as possible, feel free to use a scale. If you do not have access to a scale and the weight is not correct, then there is a risk that you will be charged for a higher weight deviation.
We act in accordance with the regulations and international conventions for freight globally and are thereby required to comply. We are responsible only for direct loss of baggage in terms of the weight-based limitations per kilogram, SDR available. Not really, the only restriction is that a package, such as a suitcase must not weigh more than 70 kg. However, you can send how many suitcases you want that weigh less than 70 kg.
You specify where and when you want your luggage to be picked up. We can arrange for luggage pickup from your home, office, hotel, golf course, or other location of your choosing. Remember that the pickup location must be easily accessible for the driver. We deliver to all places holding a postal address including postcode. The delivery must be signed upon arrival by someone at the destination. In some countries, there are no zip codes, then add for example, village, town or suburb. If you need to enter this information it will appear in the booking process. We don ́t deliver to adresses with only a postal box, nor do we deliver to cruise ships.
If you miss the pickup time, are not present at the location or if the address is unavailable ( access card / key is required), the carrier will leave the pickup location. If for any reason the pickup could not be made, contact bagpal again to implement a renewed pickup. Cost of such a second pick-up will be charged to you as a customer.
Yes, when you have booked and paid your pickup, you get an email that contains a confirmation, tracking number and a link to the delivery notes to be printed in 3 copies. You keep one copy, one is placed at the top in your suitcase and one you give to the driver, who attaches it on your luggage. This procedure is mandatory when you book your transport with us.
